Any tex and rtf experts out there?

Hi all,
I recently had a dabble with one of the "tex2rtf" converters out there.
My aim was to produce Windows Help versions of the Python documentation.
The ideal situation would be to develop an automatic conversion, so new
releases of Python can have new .HLP files without any pain.

So I suppose I have 2 questions:
* Has anyone (nearly?) done this, or thought of doing this, or tried to do
this and gave up?

* If not, would anyone like to help me develop this?
my recent "dabble" stopped suddenly with the theft of my computer! But up
until then, I had a working TEX->RTF converter. The only problem I had was
converting all of Guido's Tex macros into something that works with the
converter. (The converter is quite good, and allows custom macro
definition, but in a different syntax)

My stumbling block here was that I do not understand Tex at all. I
understand the concepts etc, but not well enough to perform this conversion.
(ie, I got to the point where text came through as plain text, and lost all
the jumps etc.)

Is there anyone out there who feels they could help me out with this? I
have no time myself, so this particular project will crawl along, so the
time demand would be small (well, spread out thinly, anyway!)

Thanks,

Mark.
