Python & Tk on Solaris 2 and Windows (32s)

Hi,

I've poked about the WWW site, and chased hyperlinks through the Sun/Tk
pages and seen several messages about what will be supported in 1.2 and
what won't but enough....

Could someone please give me straight answers:

- What should be used to interface to Tk from Python these days?
- Does it work on Solaris (and what Tk bits do I have to build)?
- Will it work/be compatible to a Tk port on Windows 3.1/32s/NT?
- Which Widnows Tk port should I use?
- Do we have, basically, a groovy cross platform GUI library in Python?

Thanks in advance,

Gordon.

ps

The Stichting Mathematisch Centrum Python for Win32 is very nice,
but it seems to lack the Tk portability that I'm looking for.
