SNMP and Python?

Has anyone done any work on SNMP with python? I realise I can always just
call 'snmpget' 'snmpset' &c from python, but something a bit better
interfaced to python would be nice. I'd offer to do something, but I'm a
real SNMP novice, (thats one of the reasons for wanting a python interface,
its got to be more pleasant to learn when using that)
