I recently developed WWW Forms authentication for a student information system. The authentication requires a
valid username and password then I use a different 'token' with each response to track the connection via a log
file. The system also supports too-many-bad-attempts blocking, expiration time for the connection, reporting,
etc.
Are you interested in something like this for your user authentication?
