Help: Python, ILU and Multithreading on Linux

I recently started using python in connection with ilu to produce a
simple client-server concept.
But making a server is not much fun without having multithreaded code.

- So does anyone have an extension for python on linux, making it
multithreaded ?
- Is it possible to use python multithreading within ilu at all ?

Tips and suggestions are most welcome
