I had no problems building on Linux (Python version 1.1).
I also built Python 1.1 for DOS (32 bit version with DJGPP).
In both environments I also compiled a Python+SUIT executable.
SUIT is a graphics user interface toolkit.
If anyone is interested I can put it available at our local FTP
server.
