Using Tcl/Tk-extensions with Tkinter (the Python-Tk)

Hi,
I am trying to find out how easy/difficult is it going to be porting
my Tcl/Tk code into Python. The first thing I am trying to figure out
is how are the regular Tcl/Tk extensions (like expect and BLT)
supported in Python/Tk. I do not see any mention of this in the
Python/Tk documentation. Anybody had tried it? Any pointers?
If the Tcl/Tk extensions are not yet available in Python/Tk, any idea
on how much effort would it take to port those extensions myself (a
newbie to python).
