Welcome to python. I just wanted you to know that a few weeks
ago we had fairly extensive debate bordering on flame war
about indentation. Many contradictory proposals were put
forward by various people who dont like indentation without
syntactic support. Others put forward proposals which would
make python look more like C. The long and the short of it
is that nothing changed. Guido decided to leave it as is.
However dont be put off by the sounds of people screaming,
or heads being banged against cement walls. You are asking
a very legit question.
