Windows in python...

We're starting a project to build a kind of "filemanager" to
unix. It's supposed to have some of the functionality found in
Macintosh Finder (i.e. point--nclick stuff)

We're supposed to write it in C/C++ and Tk. I'm not particularly fond
of that combination, so I was toying with the idea of using python and
stdwin (or tkpython, whatever that is).

I'm a bit worried over the power/performance of python/stdwin. Is it
fast enough? Is it powerful enough? I would like some comments from
people having tried this, or anyone else for that matter. An example
would be wonderful.

I know the description of our project is somewhat vague, but that's
all I know now.

Thankfully,
Homann
