InfoSeek, a startup company in Santa Clara, CA,
has used Python to create its Internet information retrieval
service. According to Steve Kirsch, president of InfoSeek, "Developing
in Python is much quicker than any of the other development
environments we looked at. The code is extremely readable and the
Python interpreter has proved to be very stable and bug-free.
InfoSeek's engineers also found Python's extensive support for object
oriented programming and exception handling was an immense asset."
