We wanted to gather statistics on the usage of our WWW server
(http://www.pegasus.esprit.ec.org/default.html). There are several solutions
to this problem, but I decided I wanted a python program that I could
(and will) easely adapt.
After some hours I had a programm that has a lot of functionality:
- generation of usage aggregated per service and requesting domain
- week of day reports for any desired day
and
- automatic generation of summaries into WWW pages.
Part 2 of this posting is the main program and
Part 3 is the accompanying HTMLsupport module. At this stage this module is
very trivial but I expect to add more....
At this moment the program runs well. I plan to add functionality in the near
future......
