I agree that Python should be left alone. Changes that extend the language
to new uses are one thing. Changing the syntax merely to support different
programming styles (or to allow no programming style) is quite another.

I find other people's Python code immediately readable. After a decade of C
and C++ programming I can't make the same claim for all but a small fraction
of other people's C/C++ code. I find the white-space sensitive nature of
Python a useful change. I use Emacs, so the python mode helps me out a lot.
I didn't have to modify a whole gaggle of obscure Emacs Lisp variables to
get the formatting the way I wanted either (just the default indentation).

In my opinion, Guido got Python pretty much right. Please leave it alone.
