It only takes 12MB on my system. That's with the debug symbol tables
compiled in and the object and source files (~3MB) left laying around. That
hardly seems like a lot of space. Installed in /usr/local, it takes 1.2MB
for the (unstripped) executable and 1.4MB for the libraries. Hardly seems
like a huge amount of space.
