There is a 'detex' program that strips text out of .tex files, with only
a few font names or other exteraneous TeX material. ( Much better that
the dvi dumps, which are MOSTLY formatting info and commands, with text
embedded somewhere in the stream. )
I can make a detex-ed text version available if you don't have access
to the program. ( I don't know where it comes from - it's installed on
UVA machines - I assume it is part of the TeX distribution . )
