newsgroup passed:
There is a five day discussion period after these results are posted. If no
serious allegations of voting irregularities are raised, the moderator of
news.announce.newgroups will create the group shortly thereafter.
so apparently there is an internet higher-up who will take care of the
creation and announcement for us in a couple of days.
But here's the REAL $10K question: what happens to the python
mailing list after the newsgroup gets going?
