object-oriented scripting and prototyping language which some prefer
over Perl, TCL or Scheme. Python, developed at <A
HREF="http://www.cwi.nl/">CWI</A> in Amsterdam, is free, extensible,
and runs on Unix, DOS and Mac. The Unix version has optional X11 and
Motif interfaces and considerable multimedia support for SGI and Sun
platforms. All <A
HREF="http://www.cwi.nl/~guido/Python.html#docs">documentation</A> and
<A HREF="http://www.cwi.nl/~guido/Python.html#ftp">sources</A> for
Python are now available on-line via the <A
HREF="http://www.cwi.nl/ftp/python">World-Wide-Web</A> as well as via
