Not only is python.9.2 no longer in wuarchive.wustl.edu:/pub
but I do not see it on uunet.uu.net:/tmp or
gatekeeper.dec.com:/pub/misc/python

And ftp.nluug.nl & mcsun.eu.net only seem to have v 9.1.

Is there some insideous plot by Perl users to stamp out python ?
( I *have* spotted a live elvis.tar.Z, so anything is possible... :-)
