I don't have a PC with a C compiler, so I can't help you personally.
However...

Long ago Mark Anacker posted patches for MS-DOS to alt.sources that
worked with version 0.9.1.

I have lost contact with Mark, but have incorporated his patches in
0.9.2, except for systematic changes to include file names to make
them short enough (I don't know if these were really necessary
anyway). Of course, new changes, especially to the POSIX module,
could cause new trouble, but I believe that porting Python to MS-DOS
should be fairly simple, given a good C compiler (Turbo C or Microsoft
C) and somebody who's done this kind of work before.

Perhaps some appropriately equipped volunteer could try to do a port?
I'd be happy to assist via e-mail or telephone calls, and I will take
care of making the final binary avaiable by anon. ftp to the world.
