Python under AIX 3.2 ???

Has anyone gotten python to compile and run on AIX 3.2?

I did a 'configure' and then 'make test' to build everything...
It builds fine and then when it runs the tests I get...

PYTHONPATH=/home/source/python/Lib:/home/source/python/Lib/test ./python -c 'import autotest'
/bin/sh: 17319 Memory fault - core dumped
make: *** [test] Error 139

Help?
